Welcome to my world of cakes and everything sweet!

Hi, my name is Christine and I am a mother to four rambunctious young children, ages 6, 5, 4, and 2. Needless to say I keep my hands pretty full at home and to add to the mix, I decided to start my own business. 10 months ago I was an elementary school teacher but I decided to replace my red checking pen and grade book with a whisk and mixing bowl. In June of 2011, I ventured into the business world and opened my boutique bakery in Sugar Land, Tx.

My interest in cakes peaked around the same time as hit cake shows started appearing on TV. I took a beginners cake decorating class at a local craft shop with a few girlfriends when I was 8 months pregnant with my last child. And with a lot of practice and determination, TSB began to take shape.

Often times, people assume that I was classically trained in the culinary world or that I had intensive training as a cake designer. Honestly, I just have a knack for being able to deconstruct things and to replicate them in the easiest way possible in cake form. I learn from watching shows like Ace of Cakes, Amazing Wedding Cakes, Cake Boss, etc. and just from figuring it out by myself. I continue to learn each and every day.

I am embracing the inner teacher in me and hoping to share with you what I know about running a business, balancing four kids, cake decorating, party planning and more!
